We exist to build a movement of mature, authentic, servant-hearted, Global Leaders who bring the truth and transforming power of the gospel to their communities, countries, the region, and the world through multiplying and self-sustaining strategies.
Kerusso in Greek means, “to preach or proclaim.” The word is in Romans 10:15 that says, “And how can they preach (kerusso) unless they are sent?”
Being sent implies someone has the ability to organize into a group that can effectively send out the evangelists, church planters, and servants. Kerusso Institute for Global Leaders (formerly Kerusso Foundation) was started from the experience of working and seeing firsthand the need for organizational leadership for indigenous organizations of the developing world. These organizations struggle to empower their leaders in order to “send” them out. The more effective indigenous organizations perform, the more laborers can be sent into the harvest, which allow the organization to reach their goals for expansion that influence their communities for Jesus Christ. Such leadership is a vital part in reaching the great commission in making disciples throughout the world.
Kerusso Institute for Global Leaders was started by Dr. Jay Clark and Anne Clark in 2008 to serve leaders in the developing world to impact their communities for Christ. Using the leadership development program created by Dr. Jay Clark. Through donations from individual, churches, businesses and foundation, Kerusso Institute for Global Leaders provides scholarship to provide excellent programs for indigenous leaders.
